The Maharajas’ Express, India’s first pan-India super luxury train has changed train travel through India forever. This luxurious train offers its passengers an unforgettable royal experience. The Maharajas’ Express has a total of 23 coaches, with four distinct configurations. There are five deluxe carriages, six junior suite carriages, two suite carriages, and one presidential suite exclusively in one carriage. The train also has two fine dining restaurants, one bar, and an observation lounge with its own bar, game tables and comfortable club. Other unique aspects of the train include a state of the art suspension system for a smooth ride, climate control in the passenger cabins, environmently friendly toilet system, and direct dial telephones from each cabin. This is a perfect way to see India, travelling in comfort and style and without the hassle of road based travel. Highlights include visiting historical sites and royal palaces, and even playing Elephant Polo.
