Traditions must be challenged periodically and the 100 meter super yacht, Sovereign, from Gray Design has the daring and wit to be a serious contender.  Designed for kings, queens and monarchs, the Sovereign's strict lines and well-appointed detailing place it in a class where only the best is tolerated. Maintaining only three decks over the entire length of the yacht gives her an extremely low profile by current standards and the echoes of automotive design are deafening.  Taking design cues from exclusive limousines and borrowing the style of chauffeur driven carriages give proportions that are both stately and sophisticated while at the same time having an athletic stance that hints at the rapid transitions she makes between marinas

قد لا تخطئ في الظن لو اعتقدت أن هذا "اليخت" الضخم والمصقول هو ليموزين عائمة على سطح الماء. وهذا التشبيه ليس محض الصدفة، ولكن لأن هذا اليخت المسمى"Sovereign"مبني على اساس تصميم سيارة الليموزين، وحتى ان سيارة الليموزين خاصته، والمطابقة له ترافقه في كل رحلة. ولكي لتمتلكه عليك أن تنفق حوالي 85 مليون يورو أي حوالي 132 مليون دولار ليصبح لك أما داخل اليخت، فإن المفروشات من تصاميم "أرماني" وكذلك يحوي حوض سباحة وجاكوزي وملعب غولف أخضر، ملهى ليلي خاص، سينما، والعديد من الامور غير الاعتيادية وأهمها كراج خاص للسيارة المطابقة، أو اي سيارة يرى المالك بأنه من الجدير ان يضعها على متن القارب الذي تبلغ مساحته حوالي 100 متر، كما ويوجد به مهبط زجاجي للهليكوبتر، محاط ببركة سباحة. قام بتصميم هذا اليخت شركة "Gray Design" التي تهتم بتصاميم المراكب والسيارات، الذي يترأسها إدوارد غراي، ويقول غراي: "هذا اليخت عمل مميز جدا ومهم في عالم اليخت". ومن الجدير بالذكر ان اليخت ايضا صديق للبيئة وذلك لأنه يضم توربين يعمل على الرياح ليشغل النظام الالكتروني في اليخت.
